New Paragraph
In November 2023, the Renaissance school, in collaboration with Home Grown and Springfield Public Schools, introduced compostable trays, a testament to the tireless efforts of our incredible Environmental Students and faculty. Witnessing the volume of waste generated by traditional cafeteria, we knew we had to do something. Through collective teamwork, we arrived at a solution that delighted all involved. This student-driven initiative caught the attention of local media, shining a spotlight on the students unwavering commitment to sustainability. As of January 2024, an additional 20 schools will join us in serving meals on compostable trays. This milestone represents just the beginning of our journey, and we eagerly anticipate further expansion of our environmental endeavors.
